What does your litigation service include? - We will issue court proceedings on your behalf including issuing the claims form through the CPC/CCBC and take care of all the procedures and documentation for you. We can request both entry of judgement by default and judgment by admission for you. If a debt is disputed we can offer assistance (there is a charge for this). Post judgment we are able to offer you a full range of enforcement options.

Is court action appropriate in every case? - No. The old saying is correct - "You can't get blood out of a stone". If a debtor genuinely has no assets and cannot afford to pay, then court action would be a waste of time and money. However court action is appropriate when the debtor has the means to pay, but not the desire. In these circumstances court action can be invaluable, and as the costs of court action are added to the debt and can be recovered from the debtor, then the court action can be a zero cost exercise to the creditor.

How much profit would I make? - That depends on how big the debt is. However by using LRC for litigation work, you are guaranteed to make additional profit as all our charges can be marked up to your client so you benefit from additional revenue streams.
